Cain Mitchell and Eli Klimek combined on a no-hitter as the Nevis baseball team rolled to an 18-1 Northland Conference win over Cass Lake-Bena at Nevis on Monday, April 26.

Mitchell struck out four and gave up one unearned run in four innings before Klimek struck out a pair in the fifth as this game was ended early via the 10-run rule.

The Tigers scored two runs in the first and third innings and seven runs in the second and fourth innings. Mitchell (3 for 3, three runs, two RBI), Tyler Lindow (3 for 4, three runs, two RBI), Derek Lindow (3 for 4, two runs, three RBI) and Dan Aman (three RBI) led Nevis’ 12-hit attack.

The win lifted Nevis’ record to 4-0 while CL-B fell to 0-4.
